David Mata
Introducing David, raised between Laredo, Tx and Boerne, Tx – a south-central Texas native. His post-grade academic expedition started at Northwest Vista where he received his associate in business administration. Then, he was accepted into the University of Texas at San Antonio where he received his bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting in May of 2020.
Most of David’s tax experience comes from government as he worked as an Internal Revenue Agent for Small Business/Self-Employed unit in Chicago, IL. He audited people and businesses of all kinds and attempted to call balls and strikes as seen fit in the grey world we call Tax Law. During this time, David was fueled to test for his CPA exams and got his CPA license in October of 2023. David enjoyed his time at the IRS but felt more inclined to be proactive in helping future clients with their taxes as he often did with (most) taxpayers.
Outside the office, David plays music, collects records and works out. He is an avid Spurs fan, has two dogs and an appetite for life. He cares for his family and friends and tries to spend as much time with them.
